The largest walnut forest in the world

Arslanbob is the largest walnut forest in the world, located in Jalal-Abad Region,in  south of Kyrgyzstan.


There are two waterfalls that attract tourists, pilgrims and other visitors. As you continue to pass through these small waterfalls, you can enjoy the open view of the village against the backdrop of the Baba Atash Mountains.


Aslanbob's scenery make feels quite different from other places in Kyrgyzstan.

Walnut forest is a good place to enjoy trekking or horse riding and it's a good season between April and October at any time.


The market in Arslanbob is the center of the city and you can meet friendly local residents and easily access traditional culture.


The first export item exported from Kyrgyzstan to Europe was Arslanbob Walnut. If you like walnuts, please visit Arslanbob late September to early October. About 10,000 people camp in the forests of the Fergana Valley for weeks in the fall to pick up walnuts every year.


December and January is best season for ski-loving visitors  when it snows a lot, but February is also good. However since there is no ski lift, you should basically enjoy it as a backcountry ski.
