The capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, is situated in the Chui valley in the north of the country, between the Talas valley in the west and the eastern Issyk-Kul region.  Its population was 1,074,075 in 2021.


'Manas International Airport', the gateway to Kyrgyzstan, is located 30 km north of the city center, and it is also a place that is gradually changing to Almaty with Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, across the northern border, as a role model.


Bishkek is structured in a grid of wide tree-lined trees, a great strolling city with numerous leafy parks, tall trees and Soviet-era statues and monuments, especially in autumn. To the south of the city, you can see the snow-capped mountains.


The main attractions of the city are Alatou Square with the Independence Monument, the National History Museum with the Lenin statue, Panfilov Park with rides , Osh Bazaar where you can shop, the Frunze Museum with the home of the war hero General Mikhail Frunze , Kyrgyzstan. and the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) , a premier institution of higher education .
