알라쿨 호수

해발 3500m 고지에 위치한 비현실적인 아름다운 빙하호수

In Tersky Ala-Too, said to be the largest mountain range in Kyrgyzstan, there is a small lake called Ala-Kul   which was created by glaciers at an altitude of 3500 m above sea level . The area of the lake is less than 1.5 square kilometers, but its depth is over 70 meters.

Surrounded by tall rocks and snow, Lake Ala-Kul has an unreal blue tint, which makes the traveler feel as if he or she exists in an unreal world rather than a worldly space.

The road to Ala Kul Lake is not easy due to the surrounding rocks, steep slopes and the erratic weather. Seasonally, July or August is the best time to visit.

Travelers will experience the best panoramic views as they pass the Ala Kul Pass , and camping by the lakeside and gazing at the night sky is also a great experience. Lucky travelers may even be lucky to encounter a herd of wild goats.
